ANNOUNCING THE 2010-11 FEATURE SERIES
IN THE CENTRE EAST THEATRE

Subscriptions to the 2010-11 Feature Series in the Centre East Theatre are available now. Single tickets to River North Chicago Dance Company go on sale August 27. Single tickets to all other shows go on sale October 1.
The North Shore Center’s feature series is a continuation of a tradition begun in 1979 when Centre East for the Arts began presenting a performing arts series for North Shore audiences in the former Niles East High School auditorium. In addition to the annual feature series, the North Shore Center presents the Youtheatre Program offering curriculum-based theater, music and dance productions that support the Illinois State Goals for learning in the fine arts, language arts, and social studies for grades K through 12; and SHOWCASE, an annual conference of performing arts for young people. The North Shore Center’s facilities are also available for rent and are utilized by numerous arts, educational, civic, and corporate organizations each year.
In 1996, the Centre East Theatre was part of the newly built North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie at 9501 Skokie Blvd. in Skokie, IL. This 867 seat, state-of-the-art facility was designed with great care which ensures wherever you sit, you can see and hear perfectly. There is ample free parking and the facility is handicapped accessible with an elevator to the balcony. There are also devices available for the hearing impaired. |
