Booths are assigned on a FIRST PAID basis. You will be placed on the list in the order that your full payment is received (Booth #1 goes to payment received first, etc.).
Full payment is due when submitting your registration form. DEADLINE FOR ARTIST REGISTRATION AND ALL ARTIST PAYMENTS (including performance fees) is August 6th, 2010. This includes all payments due for booth, electricity, and advertising. Artists can either register through our website (www.centreeast.org) OR through the written form located at the end of our registration packet (this can be found on the Showcase Homepage). Those selected to perform at SHOWCASE 2010 will be assessed a Technical Performance fee of $250. This fee is not due at the time of your initial registration. Artists will be notified of their selection following the audition process. This fee must be paid by August 6th, 2010.
CENTRE EAST reserves the right to assign booth placement as necessary to separate like disciplines.
Exhibitors may not move or exchange assigned booths in the exhibit areas.
Centre East reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any company applying for SHOWCASE 2010.
The only day that Artists are allowed to set up booths is Monday, August 30, 2010 between 1:00PM and 5:00PM. Booths must be set up before the first day of SHOWCASE unless approved by SHOWCASE staff prior the event.
Booth display should not block sight lines of exhibitors on either side.
Artists and Agencies who purchase a booth are the only ones allowed to have a book listing. Extra book listings can be purchased for the designated fee.
An agency will only be allotted one (1) book listing with their registration. Individual artists represented by that agency are allowed to purchase separate book listings $150.00/listing.
Balloons bigger than 1.5 feet in diameter are strictly prohibited. If possible, please use non-latex balloons.
Headphones must be used on all audio/visual equipment, including but not limited to computers, televisions, VCR’s, DVD, MP3 players, and CD players.
Performers with animals must submit an USDA Animal Welfare Act permit to Centre East and will be required to have a copy of the permit at the exhibit booth. Animals must remain in humane enclosures, except at the time used in SHOWCASE performance.
Performances (in any form) will not be permitted in the exhibit hall and will be cause for expulsion from SHOWCASE 2010.
Exhibit hall hours on both days: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Everyone must wear the identification badges provided by Centre East.
Artists are not allowed to sell merchandise at SHOWCASE 2010. This includes but is not limited to: CD’s, Tapes, DVD’s, Posters, and Pictures.
Solicitation of any kind for events similar to SHOWCASE is strictly prohibited.
Audience lists are provided via email to registered artists and may not be sold or exchanged.
CENTRE EAST SHOWCASE is a business trade conference and is intended to inform those who are charged with booking artists that perform for young audiences. To minimize distraction and maintain a proper business atmosphere, no children are allowed to attend the event or auditions, unless they are appearing as SHOWCASE artists. For safety reasons, this also applies during the set-up and strike periods.
